Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive at the Dead Sea: After landing late in Amman and being met at the airport, we drive down to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. A quick snack, then straight to bed.
 
Day 2 - Health Spa & Mosaics: The day starts at a leisurely pace with a relaxing morning; floating in the Dead Sea and having a mud bath, which is great for the skin. We then head off to the Christian Town of Madaba, known as the City of Mosaics, before grabbing some lunch at the local restaurant, Haret Jdoudna, then shopping for mosaics and local souvenirs. Next we stop at Mount Nebo and stand where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land, before returning the hotel. Dinner at the hotel leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, before heading to bed.
 
Day 3 - Exciting Petra: It’s an early start for a full-day visit to Petra. We walk through the Siq between two over hanging cliffs before experiencing that magical first glimpse of the Treasury. The day is spent exploring the hidden city and enjoying a local meal inside Petra at The Basin restaurant, before retuning back to the hotel.
 
Day 4 - Relaxing massage pre-flight: After breakfast we take the opportunity to have one of the famous Dead Sea massages. Then off to Amman for a flavour of the local life with a walk along the famous 'Rainbow Street', where we try some famous traditional Arabic sweets. Then it’s off to the Airport for our flight home.

About DEAD SEA & MA'IN HOLIDAYS

The Jordan Rift Valley is a dramatic beautiful landscape, which at the Dead Sea is over 400m below sea level and is without doubt one of the most amazing places in the world. Once the waters reach the Dead Sea, they are land-locked and have nowhere to go, so they evaporate, leaving behind a dense rich cocktail of salts and minerals. The Dead Sea is fl anked by mountains to the east and the hills of Jerusalem to the west, giving it an almost alien beauty. The area is believed to have been home to fi ve Biblical cities, namely Sodom, Gomorrah, Adman, Zebouin and Zoar.

When To Go

Jordan has a diverse Middle Eastern Climate with hot summers.  Although travel is possible throughout the year, not all months are the best time to travel. Spring is more ideal to travel as temperatures are not too high reaching into high twenties during the day with cool nights. Winter can sometimes be harsh as desert regions can experience short rainfalls and cold nights and even in Petra sometimes snow.
