The Deer Park is located on the banks of the Giritale reservoir, surrounded by a number of national parks within the district of Polonnaruwa, which is approx. 5 hrs by road from Colombo airport.
COTTAGES
The hotel has 77 Cottages, including Superior, Deluxe, Deluxe Duplex and Angsana Cottages. Superior Cottages are comfortably furnished with double or twin beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, sat. TV. Rooms on the ground floor have open air bathrooms with outdoor showers, whereas first floor rooms have an indoor bathroom and shared balcony. Deluxe Cottages are single storey and have pool or forest views. Deluxe Duplex Cottages are same as Superior Cottages, but are over two floors (not suitable for the elderly, as bedroom has to be accessed by a ladder).

There is a choice of dining. The Ebony restaurant serves local and international cuisine, the forest sets the backdrop for the Tree Tops restaurant serving international food and wines. The jungle BBQ is outdoors dining, or private dining for clients celebrating special occasions, and the Sandpiper Bar offers a relaxing end to the day.
