The Villa Bentota is housed in the Mohotti Walauwa which was converted into Sri Lanka’s first boutique hotel in the 1970s by world-renowned Architect, the late Geoffrey Bawa and is set on 2 acres of land. It is located approx. 1.5 hrs drive south of Colombo.
ROOMS & SUITES
15 unique and individually designed Rooms & Suites feature modern facilities and services. Equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, King-size bed with a mosquito net, LCD TV, mini-bar, safe, bathroom with shower, balcony, courtyard or terrace.
Guest Rooms:
Single Room – a small room located on the first floor; they have a single bed as well as a small balcony with pool view. This room does not include TV or mini-bar.
Executive Room - 2 rooms feature the same facilities as the higher category rooms, just are smaller, however they are perfect for travellers with a budget.
Superior Room - 4 rooms either open out into the garden or feature balconies with sea views.
Guest Suites:
Executive Suite - 2 suites available, ideally for those who wish extra luxury and space.
Superior Suite - 5 suites all sea-facing with balcony and private lounge. These are a popular choice for honeymooners.
The Mohotti Suite – one suite boasts 2 double rooms, one with King-size bed and the other with a Queen-size bed. The shared bathroom boasts a free standing bathtub. The separate lounge area looks over the grounds. The suite is suited for larger families or friends.

DINING
The Villa Café – is housed in a newly built pavilion and it’s located on the inner side of the property. With its authentic pizza oven and a variety of dishes on offer, guests will be spoilt for choice. The Villa Café serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack and light meals, throughout the day.
