The Chateau St. Cloud is located centrally on La Digue Island, set in lovely colonial gardens of exotic flowers and tropical plants, just 15 minutes from the beach at Anse Source D'Argent.
Transfer Time - from Praslin, ferry to La Digue approx. 45 mins and road approx. 15 minutes by ox-cart from the jetty.
A unique hotel, once a former Vanilla Plantation House named after a small south Parisian town this hotel still retains the feel of its colonial past. On the estate guests can also visit one of the few coco de Mer trees still remaining on the island, or the giant tortoises which have been on the estate for generations, and now are considered part of the St Ange family. The hotel is full of old world charm and offers genuine warm Creole hospitality. It has a small and friendly relaxed atmosphere and embodies what you imagine is typical Seychellois accommodation.
ROOMS
There will soon be 20 Rooms at Chateau St Cloud, divided into three categories – four 'standard' rooms, four 'superior' rooms and 12 'deluxe' rooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, a fan, international direct-dial telephone, mini-fridge, safe and tea/coffee station. In the 'standard' rooms only showers are available, but both their 'deluxe' and 'superior' counterparts offer a bath too. some comfortably capable of accommodating a family of two adults and two children. air conditioning, ceiling fan, spacious seating/living area, large bathroom with shower, wc, bidet and seperate bath, telephone, mini-bar, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, TV. are tasteful contemporary suites in the plantation house, with vast, cool interiors, albeit no outside space.
In comparison, the 'standard' rooms are really rather basic and we don't generally recommend them. 30 air-conditioned rooms with ceiling fan, shower, mini bar/fridge, TV, tea/coffee facilities, safe, hairdryer and veranda. Spacious Superior and Deluxe rooms are also available - call for details.
Guest Rooms:
Standard Room - 6 rooms; which are located in the gardens, with bathroom with shower, wc, bidet, air-conditioning, telephone, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, safe, TV Quite basic not recommended.
Superior Room - 4 rooms; located in the gardens with similar facilities as the Deluxe rooms. Note - only 3 superior rooms have seperate bath Chateau St Cloud's 'superior' rooms are wooden hillside cabins which offer private terraces and great seclusion, fine for those who don't mind the steep stair access.
Chateau DeLuxe Room - 12 rooms; situated within the main St Cloud Chateau, and are tasteful decorated in a contemporary style, with spacious cool interiors, but there is no outside space.

DINING
The Chateau St Cloud has 1 Restaurant and 1 Bar.
The restaurant has a rustic charm and is set in a garden with exotic plants and flowers offers authentic Creole cuisine serving breakfast with seasonal fruit, lunch, and dinner with occasional evening entertainment and Creole themed evenings. Dinner is either s buffet or set menu.
The bar overlooks the swimming pool and terrace and serves a choice of soft drinks and local cocktails.
