Your Itinerary

Day 1 - UK / Amman: Fly from London to Amman where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for 2 nts stay.

 
Day 2 - Amman / Um Qasis / Ajlun / Jerash / Amman: After breakfast depart for Um Qasis, a city rich with basalt close to Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius. After lunch visit the village of Ajlun with its fortress and magnificent view. Next head to Jerash; one of the most preserved Graeco-Roman cities in the Middle East and return to your hotel in Amman.

 
Day 3 - Amman / City Tour / Dead Sea: After breakfast a morning city tour of Amman to visit the ruins of the Amman amphitheatre, the citadel and the Umayyad Palace then head to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, for 1 night. The afternoon at leisure at the lowest point on earth.


Day 4 - Dead Sea / Wadi Mujib Reserve: Morning at leisure. Transfer to the Wadi Mujib Nature Reserve. Guided hiking tour. Overnight.


Day 5 - Wadi Mujib / Madaba / Mt. Nebo / Kerak / Dana: Morning departure south through the King’s Highway. Visit the Christian Town of Madaba ‘The City of Mosaics’ and visit Mount Nebo, the site of the endearing monastery. Proceed to Kerak through Wadi Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views. Visit the Kerak castle with its diverse history dated from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period. Continue to Dana. Overnight at the reserve.


Day 6 - Dana / Petra: In the Morning there is a guided hiking tour at the reserve. Transfer to Petra for 2 nts stay.


Day 7 - Petra: After breakfast, visit the ancient Nabatean Capital followed by a walk through the Siq. You will then gradually discover the mysteries of the Red Rose City with its spectacular treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Return to hotel.


Day 8 - Petra / Beida / Wadi Rum: After breakfast visit Beida, known as little Petra. Next head south to the Wadi desert for a jeep tour until sunset. Enjoy the views while drinking a cup of Bedouin tea and proceed to the campsite inside the desert. Traditional Bedouin dinner and overnight at camp.


Day 9 - Wadi Rum / Amman: After breakfast transfer to Amman for 1 night stay.


Day 10 – Amman / UK: Breakfast followed by morning transfer to Amman airport for return flight to London Heathrow.

The entrance to the city is through the Siq, a narrow gorge over 1 km in length, which is flanked on either side by soaring 80 metre high cliffs. Just walking through the Siq is an experience in itself. The colours and rock formations are dazzling and as you reach the end of the Siq, you will catch your fi rst breath-taking glimpse of Al Khazneh (The Treasury). Petra is a legacy of the Nabataeans who settled in south Jordan more than 2000 years ago. The kingdom endured for centuries until Roman Emperor Trajan annexed the kingdom and by the 16th century, Petra was completely lost to the West and remained so for almost 300 years. In 1812 a Swiss traveller named Johann Lugwig Burckhart re-discovered it after persuading his guide to take him to the site of the rumoured lost city.
