Your Itinerary

Day 1 – UK / Amman: Fly from London Heathrow to Amman’s Queen Alia International airport to be met and transferred to your hotel for 4 nts stay.


Day 2 – Amman / Um Qais / Ajlun / Jerash / Amman: Depart to Um Qais, a city rich with basalt ruins, Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius. Visit Ajlun before proceeding to Jerash; a preserved Greco-Roman city. Overnight at hotel.


Day 3 – Amman / City Tour / Salt / Amman: Amman city tour including the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, Citadel, museums and Umayyad Palace. Next visit the ancient agricultural town of Salt. Return to hotel.


Day 4 – Amman / Desert Castles / Amman: Explore the incredible Umayyad Desert Castles including Qasr Amra, Al Azraq, Al Kharaneh and more. Overnight at hotel.


Day 5 – Amman / Madaba / Mt. Nebo / Wadi Mujib / Kerak / Dana Reserve: Visit the Christian Town of Madaba "The City of Mosaics" and the Monastery in Mount Nebo. Proceed to Kerak Castle via Wadi Al Mujib. Continue to hotel in Dana for dinner and overnight.


Day 6 – Dana / Feynan: 14 km downhill hike to Feynan; through the sandstone gorge of Wadi Dana. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (Optional road transfer).


Day 7 – Feynan / Petra: Transfer to Petra for 2 nts. Afternoon to relax. Overnight at hotel.


Day 8 – Petra: The visit to Petra starts with a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. The tour then proceeds to unfold the mysteries of the Red Rose City. Overnight at hotel.


Day 9 – Petra / Beida / Wadi Rum: Visit Beida before continuing to Wadi Rum, one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world. Jeep Tour inside the Wadi until sunset. Dinner and overnight at campsite.


Day 10/11 – Wadi Rum / Aqaba: Morning transfer to Aqaba for 2 nts stay. Afternoon at leisure and overnight at hotel. Next day breakfast. Free day at leisure. Overnight.


Day 12 – Aqaba / Lot’s Cave / Baptism Site / Dead Sea: Morning at leisure. Visit Lot’s Cave before continuing to the Baptism site; believed to be the site where Jesus was Baptised. Proceed to the Dead Sea for 3 nts stay.


Day 13/14 – Dead Sea / Mujib Reserve / Ma’In / Dead Sea: Visit the Mujib reserve for a guided 3-hr hike. Visit to the Ma’In hot springs to enjoy free time. Next day at leisure. Overnight.


Day 15 – Dead Sea / Departure: Breakfast then transfer to Amman airport for return flight to London Heathrow.


Notes: This tour involves walking over rough terrain and at Petra involves some climbing.

The entrance to the city is through the Siq, a narrow gorge over 1 km in length, which is flanked on either side by soaring 80 metre high cliffs. Just walking through the Siq is an experience in itself. The colours and rock formations are dazzling and as you reach the end of the Siq, you will catch your fi rst breath-taking glimpse of Al Khazneh (The Treasury). Petra is a legacy of the Nabataeans who settled in south Jordan more than 2000 years ago. The kingdom endured for centuries until Roman Emperor Trajan annexed the kingdom and by the 16th century, Petra was completely lost to the West and remained so for almost 300 years. In 1812 a Swiss traveller named Johann Lugwig Burckhart re-discovered it after persuading his guide to take him to the site of the rumoured lost city.
