Cocoa Island is a small, private island resort known locally as Makunufushi. It is located among South Malé’s coral atolls, approx. 40 mins speedboat transfer from Malé airport.
SUITES & VILLAS
Rooms are inspired and designed around the traditional Dhoni fishing boats commonly used by local fisherman. They come air-conditioning, King-size bed or Twin beds, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, bottled water and fresh fruit, LCD TV, CD/DVD player, telephone, safe, hairdryer, private sundeck and bathtub with separate shower. Access to villas can be reached by an over water walkway.
Guest Suites:
Dhoni Suite – 8 split-level suites have spacious living area leads onto a private sundeck with two chaise lounges, dining table, sitting area with a Balinese-style day bed, large bathroom with a double-ended tub and direct access to the lagoon.
Dhoni Loft Suite – 9 split level suites with a bedroom on a mezzanine level, large living area, a staircase leads to the loft, bathroom on the lower level as well as sundeck with direct lagoon access.
Guest Villas:
Loft Villa – 10 villas similar to Dhoni Loft Suites however in addition these include an outdoor shower that leads directly into the lagoon.
One Bedroom Villa – 4 one bedroom villas with outdoor shower, bathroom with an island bath, separate walk-in and outdoor showers, spacious living area leads out onto a private sundeck which has direct access to the lagoon.
COMO Villa – 2 villas each with spacious living room offers striking views of the turquoise lagoon, four decks overhang the lagoon, bathroom with a bath, indoor and outdoor shower and private sundeck, pantry with microwave and fridge, personal butler service on request and own jetty, allowing private access to and from Cocoa Island.

Ufaa – outdoor eating, where you can experience freshly cooked lobster, tandoor and locally sourced food. Menu’s change daily and there is strong focus on fresh seafood.
Faru – serves fresh fruit juices, soft drinks and a selection of wines and liquors.
