Beautifully designed, but relaxed resort, offering excellent facilities and accommodation in a tranquil setting between the Indian Ocean and surrounding green hills of Bel Ombre Nature Reserve and sugar cane fields.

Location:

Situated on the south west coast of Mauritius in Bel Ombre, 45 minutes transfer from the International Airport.

Accommodation:

The spacious (from 55 sq.m) and tastefully designed rooms, suites and one Villa offer tranquility and comfort and are appointed in classical Mauritian style with wood or palm thatch roof and are spread among casuarinas, coconut palms, frangipanes and other flowering shrubs in 22 acres of tropical gardens. 160 Deluxe and Club rooms all have a sitting area, large bathroom with round bathtub and separate shower, and private balcony/terrace looking towards the Ocean. 41 well-designed Family rooms additionally have a separate bedroom connected to the parents’ room sleeping up to three children. Larger Junior and Senior Suites offer more luxury, some with four-poster bed. All accommodation has minibar, hairdryer, safe, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Club rooms, Club Family rooms and Suites are located closest to the beach and also have a CD/DVD player. Club guests enjoy free access to the Club Lounge for the ‘hotel within a hotel’ service, offering open bar and complimentary soft drinks during the day, free access to the book, DVD and Playstation library (Club Family rooms boast a Playstation in the kids room!) and free entrance to the Spa’s ‘wet’ facilities such as sauna.

Facilities:

Apart from the main swimming pool there is an additional Garden Pool for use by Club guests, and a kids’ pool. The Aldana Spa is a highlight feature of the resort. 1800 sq.m in area, it is nestled in the heart of a beautiful landscaped garden with individual and ‘couple’ massage pavilions, Hydro massage corridor, two Turkish baths and saunas, a whirlpool and large relaxation areas with stunning views.
Tennis, Volleyball, Putting green and Table tennis are offered on land, whilst the complimentary* watersports include Waterskiing, Glass bottom boat, Snorkelling (equipment), Kayaks, Windsurfing, Minisails and Pedaloes. For the more adventurous there is a PADI Dive centre offering individual dives (day or night) and PADI courses from Open Water to Dive Master standard. Kids (3-11) are entertained with a programme of activities at the dedicated Kids Club with special meals available (lunch/snack supplement).

Dining:

Three restaurants each have their own ambience and appeal. ‘Moulin’ main restaurant offers themed dinners with varied buffets, ‘Le Camaron’ on the beach serves light dishes, fresh fish and seafood, and ‘La Grand Caze’ is the a la carte fine dining venue for innovative recipes with Mauritian flavour in a romantic setting. In the evening guests may enjoy live entertainment, including occasional local ‘sega’ dancing.
