Baros Island - North Male Atoll 4*

An intimate island completely rebuilt in 2005 and a member of the Small Leading hotels of the World. Friendly and warm atmosphere & excellent for diving.

Location:

Only 25mins from the airport by speedboat in the North Male Atoll. One side of the island has a coral house reef, and the other has a lagoon.

Accommodation:

Each of the new 75 villas is furnished to a high standard. The 24 Deluxe Villas are stand alone thatched bungalows within metres of the water’s edge. All rooms have air-conditioning, minibar, ceiling fan, indoor shower and private garden bathroom with bathtub & shower, hairdryer, internet access, satellite TV.
The 20 Baros Villas are as Deluxe Villas, but larger and have a Four poster bed. Lofty ceilings and teak flooring, plus a wine chiller, espresso machine and spacious terrace with day bed.
The Water Villas are set on stilts over the water and have the facilities similar to Baros Villas plus a spacious deck with steps that lead down to the sea. Baros Villa is not suitable for children under the age of 7.

Facilities:

There is a PADI Dive centre and watersports including windsurfing, catamaran sailing and canoeing. There is also a Sen Spa offering a range of massage, health and beauty treatments, fitness centre, pool table and table tennis.
Facilites can not be guaranteed to be open at all times from time to time facilities may close for various reason such as due to maintenance or low occupancy, without notice.

Dining:

There are three dining options with views of the ocean all in an intimate setting. The new Lighthouse restaurant is built over the water and serves modern cuisine and Asian specialities. The Cayanne Grill offers alfresco dining and seafood, meats and vegetarian dishes. The Lime restaurant provides all day dining and an ala carte menu. The bars include the wine cellar, a main bar, plus the Lighthouse lounge and Sails bar.
