Accommodation: All 56 stylish cabins & 16 executive cabins & 2 presidential suites feature air-conditioning, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, bathrooms with bathtubs and large panoramic window. Each cabin is well appointed and furnished with dark wooden pieces.

Facilities: Rejuvenating spa suites, sauna, steam room, aromatherapy and massage treatments, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gym, library, table games, discotheque and gift shop.

Dining: The main restaurant is located on the Nile Deck and feature a modern fusion of international and traditional dishes. Cocktails and refreshments are served at the Pool Bar.

3 Nights from Aswan to Luxor

Day 1 (Fri)    Aswan
Noon embarkation. After lunch visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Sail by Felucca on the Nile & view of Agha Khan Mausoleum. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 2 (Sat)    Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu
Sail to Kom Ombo after breakfast. Lunch on board and afternoon visit the temple shared by two Gods Sobek & Haroeris. Sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Dinner on board and overnight in Edfu.
Day 3 (Sun)    Esna – Luxor
After breakfast sail to Luxor passing through the Esna Lock. Lunch on board and free time. Upon arrival time in Luxor visit Luxor Temple. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
Day 4 (Mon)    Luxor
Disembark Luxor after breakfast. Cross the West Bank to visit Thebes Necropolis, Valley of the Kings, El Deir El Bahari of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile.

4 Nights from Luxor to Aswan

Day 1 (Mon)    Luxor
Noon embarkation. After lunch on board visit Karnak and Luxor Temples. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
Day 2 (Tue)    Luxor – Esna
After breakfast cross the West Bank to visit Thebes Necropolis, Valley of the Kings, El Deir El Bahari of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile. Sail to Esna. Lunch and afternoon free time. Dinner on board and overnight in Esna.
Day 3 (Wed)    Esna – Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan
Breakfast and sail to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu and sail to Kom Ombo. After lunch visit the temple shared by two Gods Sobek & Haroeris. Sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 4 (Thu)    Aswan

Nile cruising is not like conventional ocean cruising, with the distance covered between Aswan and Luxor being only 240km. The boats provide a comfortable and scenic base from which to explore the historic sites. Sightseeing tends to be early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds of the day and can also mean strenuous walking. A lack of proper docking facilities in places may require disembarkation on planks, over rocks and up steep inclines.

Important Note: Low Water levels on the Nile due to the closure of the Esna Lock and delays at the locks can, on occasion, change the itinerary. Often at short notice - The lock at Esna is scheduled to close for approximately two weeks in early December and for the month of June every year. Please contact our consultants for further information.

Aswan

Aswan is larger, but much quieter than Luxor, it is Egypt’s southernmost city and one of her most beautiful, sitting alongside some of the best stretches of the Nile.Situated on the first Cataract of the Nile and offering visitors year round sun, Aswan, is also pleasantly warm in Winter. It is within easy reach of the Nubian Temples on the shore of Lake Nasser, such as the Temple of Philae, the unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam. Abu Simbel is also accessible from Aswan and is well worth a visit. Watching the feluccas meander down the Nile as the sun sets is an experience you’re unlikely to forget.

Edfu

The modern city of Edfu on the West bank of the Nile lies close to the remains of the ancient settlement of Tell Edfu where you will find the remnants of a small provincial step pyramid. Here you will also find the Temple of Horus. This completely preserved Ptolemaic temple was built during the reign of Cleopatra VII.

Esna

Once called the City of the Fish, famous for the abundant Nile Perch, Esna sits on the West bank of the Nile. Here ancient and modern Egypt meets. Esna is home to the red sandstone Temple of Khnum, an ancient Egyptian place of worship dedicated to the ram headed God Khnum and the modern canal lock system and barrage which controls the annual floods. The tourist bazaar is a must for those looking to pick up a local treasure.

Kom Ombo

Kom Ombo is an agricultural town that lies on an ancient trade route between Nubia and the Nile Valley. The Temple of Kom Ombo is a unique double temple, with two symmetrical sides. One half dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the other dedicated to the falcon god Horus.

Luxor

Luxor is unique among the world’s cities; originally built on the site of ancient Thebes, it is home to some of the most spectacular ancient sites the world has to offer.
The West Bank of the Nile boasts the valley of the Kings, dotted with the tombs of the Pharaohs, and the inspiring Temple of Karnak, which is one of the larger temple complexes still in existence. The smaller Luxor Temple is in the centre of town. The area around Luxor is full of historical interest, whilst the town itself offers a great selection of first class hotels from which you can explore the area.

Qena

Standing on the East Bank of the Nile, Qena is famous for its pottery and proximity to Dendera. Dendera is home to the Temple of Hathor, one of the best preserved temples in all Egypt, built to celebrate the goddess of love, joy and beauty. Qena is also an important stop over for those travelling to the Red Sea.

The Philae Temple

The Philae Temple sits on an island in the middle of the Nile River. The temple contains monuments of various eras, extending from the Pharaohs to the Caesars and is said to be one of the burial places of Osiris. Philae was not only an important sacred place but also a significant centre of commerce and trading between the ancient Nubians and Egyptians.
